Professional Experience:

 

T-Mobile Wireless:Sr. Network Engineer 10/2014 to present.

•          Built out 2G, 3G and 4G Nokia networks in various markets for T-Mobile’s SE warroom to include Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Memphis, Birmingham and Mobile markets.

▪          Commission new AAV into service to facilitate market growth.  Generated scripts for ALU 7750 SR: Carrier Class Ethernet Services Router (comparable to Cisco ASR 9000) and ALU 7705 Service Aggregation Routers (comparable to Cisco 2941).

▪          Helped build out of 812 sites with ALU 7705 SAR routers via UNI (CE-facing) interfaces each having a 3 digit & 4 digit VLANs for high speed with better reliability to 3 pairs of ALU 7750 SR (comparable to Cisco ASR 9000).  Each of the 800+ sites, has a 3 digit VLAN to one 7750 SR router and a 4 digit VLAN to the paired 7750 SR router.  Each VLAN having Bi-directional Forwarding Detection (BFD).  Coverage provided is more that 50% of Florida and nearly 50% of Georgia. 

▪          Performed numerous CIR upgrades to meet network demands: created scripts and implemented changes in ALU 7705 SAR router and both ALU 7750 SR routers. 

▪          Performed Intra-Chassis / Inter-Chassis router port migrations to balance 10 Gbps Ethernet pairs to facilitate CIR growth.  Generated various scripts CSR module changes, 1.90 to 2.0 VLAN Ethernet changes, etc. 

▪          Assisted with microwave changes to IDUs, 1+0 AND 2+0 optimization and trouble shooting.

▪          Migration of circuits from MLPPP or ATM to new Ethernet AAV. 

•          Network modernization of from legacy equipment to newer designs allowing better x-functionality.  Performed  site integrations, re-configurations, created Site Commissioning Files (SCFs) and re-commissioned sites to get meet new designs across all technologies at ground level and tower equipment. Generate and establish neigbor relations across and within networks (GSM, UMTS, LTE). Decommission of Ericsson legacy equipment upon replacement of newer Nokia (FLEXI) sites. Creation of IPNB.  Load License Keys on new UMTS sites.

•          E911: Establish new e911 & LAC connectivity to 7 National Ericsson MSC-S nodes for each new element.  Migration of LMUs. Removal (Ericsson) and creation (Nokia) of semi-permanent SMLC connections. LMU decommission upon connectivity to Ethernet by changing Line Interface settings.  Loaded sites in GMLC.

▪          Transport modernization: Perform network connectivity updates to Packet ABIS, replacing legacy TDM with Ethernet connectivity, setting Subnet, Gateway, Host IPs, Source / Destination addresses and VLAN IDs for new connections.  Building SCTP tunnels and endpoints.  Building LapD using SCTP tunnel.  Establishing connectivity to CORENET and NMNET networks.  Configuration of Cell Site Routers (ALU 7705) and MAD routers (ALU 7750) for various Ethernet connections.  Dynamic Open Loop / 4x4 MIMO and bandwidth upgrades (15 Mhz / 20 Mhz).  

•          Script creation, process documentation and instruction for streamlining work and education of team members.

•          Trouble shooting as necessary to ensure timely resolution to network issues.  Assist with switch functions as needed.

 

ATT Wireless:Network Ethernet / ATM Engineer 6/2014 to 9/2014.

•          Migrate BTS, NodeB and ENodeBs from ATM to Ethernet.

•          Verify connections to Cisco and ALU network elements (routers (SIAD) / MSN).

•          Removal of IP interface and ATM connections in Tellabs and ALU MSNs.

•          Brought up thousands of ENodeBs and NodeBs for ATT’s UMTS and LTE networks during 3 year span.

•          Resolved complex deployment problems for optimization of LTE and UMTS networks.

•          Ensured delivery of latest software upgrade capabilities.

•          Lead engineer / Project Manager on project to move all GSM sites in T-Mobile’s NE region to Call servers. 

•          Reparenting Ericsson & Nortel BSCs to ALU MGW / Call Servers from Ericsson MSCs for T-Mobile.

•          Evaluate current circuit / SS7 connectivity and neighbor relations.

•          Determine availability of for new connectivity and neighbor relations.

•          Reserve network capacity in DCS (Tellabs 5500 & ALU 1630) systems and use of Xng to engineer future configuration.

•          Ensure that all work order tasks are completed and approved prior to the RIP.

•          Limit network outage via CP split procedure to make changes on the standby side and switch CPs.

•          Coordinate with drive testers and use of various performance tools to determine RIP success.

•          Troubleshoot any network issues in signaling, connectivity or neighbor relations.

•          Ensure that all alarms are cleared properly before handing back over to the NOC / Market.

Ericsson for T-Mobile:Contracted West Region UMTS System Design Engineer.  06/07-02/08.

•          Engineered the transport network for UMTS in the West Region of T-Mobile (23 markets in HI, CA, WA, OR, CO, UT, AZ, NM, NV & TX).

•          Required to have complete UMTS design knowledge of all network elements, links and protocols.

•          Mapped out RSP connections for Iub, IuPS, IuCS, Iur and Mub.

•          Engineered DCS expansions / integrations in the West Region of T-Mobile.

•          Ensured all equipment and paths were accurately built in Xng (Granite).

•          Created numerous work orders and assigned hundreds of tasks to integrate UMTS.

•          Created EDPs for system design distribution and MOPs for implementation.

 

AT&T Wireless: Contracted Project Lead for DACS Audit in Detroit, MI 02/07-05/07.

•          Lead team of over 15 people on Audit and Xng (Granite) database reconciliation for 3 Michigan MTSOs.

•          Ensured that all circuit paths were understood from end to end and properly reflected in Xng.

•          Helped manage, interview, hire, evaluate and terminate members of the team.

•          Created paths in Xng, corrected equipment errors, added equipment, deleted equipment, created port associations, etc.

Worked for Toll Brothers as Assistant Construction Manager from 8/04 – 1/05

·   Responsible for the scheduling of all work by sub-contractors to build 5000+ sq foot homes in Northern Virginia.  Required to make sure work was done to exacting standards on time to allow for the each next build. 

·   Met with County officials for various building permits.

·   Resolved any issues found by building inspections, home-owner inspections and issues found from my own quality assurance of each build.

 

 

Owner of Tropical Smoothie Café Franchise from 9/08 – 5/10

·   Managed franchise with 14 employees to cover 363 days of the calendar year. 

·   Performed due diligence on the purchase of new franchise.  Development of business plan to determine need, costs, expenses, staffing, payroll, taxation from county, state, federal, etc.

·   Hired and trained staff on proper practices, policies and procedures.  Brought in new assistant managers and staff as needed.

·   Developed marketing plans.
